Our case managers assist attorneys in areas of workers' compensation claims, employee rights, social security disability, personal injuries, at work accidents, construction laws, real estate, car accident injuries, foreclosure defense, estate planning, USERRA discrimination, and many more.
David MacWilliams is a Senior Case Manager. He is a graduate from the University of Delaware, Class of 1974 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish and Latin American Culture. After 7 1/2 years with Travelers’ Insurance Company as a field Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor also doing medical management, he entered the legal field full time in Ocala, Florida. After 12 years with another practice where he specialized in medical analysis and litigation case preparation applicable to Social Security Disability, Personal Injury, and Workers' Compensation, he joined the Coye Law Firm in 2007. He speaks, reads, and writes fluent Spanish. Dave and his wife of 34 years have two sons, and family life is very important to them. He enjoys ethnic cooking and is an active member of the Marion County Citizens Emergency Response Team (CERT).
Dale McDyer is a Case Manager, specializing in Personal Injury, for the Coye Law Firm. Born in Evanston, Illinois, Dale attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. While at the University of Illinois, he was an All-American competition swimmer. Dale started his claims career working for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. He worked for several different insurance companies for 32 years. He has worked in Chicago and DesPlaines, IL; Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and Orlando. He is an experienced claims professional in all lines of insurance and has dealt with all different types of claims. After mastering the insurance field, Dale entered the legal field. He has been working for plaintiff’s law firms for the past nine years. Dale joined the Coye Law Firm in 2006. Dale enjoys all types of outdoor activities, most notably boating. He has been happily married for the past 15 years, with two children and three stepchildren. His daughter works in Orlando for Embarq, while his son is an Obstetrician/Gynecologist in Jacksonville, FL.
Nanette Cruz is a third year evening law student at Florida A&M University College of Law. Nanette has been working as a paralegal for 13 years since graduating with a Legal Studies degree from the University of Central Florida in 1995. One of the highlights of her life was when she traveled to the nation’s capital as part of the National Young Leaders Conference and participated in a mock session of Congress. That experience intensified her dream of one day becoming an attorney.
As a student at FAMU, Nanette has been involved with the Student Bar Association holding positions such as Class Representative, Treasurer, and is currently serving in the Judiciary Committee. Nanette is also an active member and officer of the Hispanic American Law Student Association and has recently been inducted to FAMU’s Law Review.
In addition to her involvement at school, Nanette is very active in her community and church. In her church, Nanette is the Kindergarten Director and is a member of the Children Ministries Leadership Council. Nanette has also served as Vice President of her Home Owner’s Association for the past five years. Nanette has been married for 11 years and has two daughters, Vanessa and Danielle.
Ursula Remy is a Case Manager. She was born in Lima, Peru and moved to the United States when she was 3 years old. Since her family relocated to the United States she has lived in New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Texas and Florida. Ursula graduated from Timber Creek High School in Orlando, Florida. She held the position of Assistant Editor for the Timber Creek Tribune her senior year and was also Vice President of the Quill and Scroll Honor Society. An active member of several school clubs, Ursula participated in the Minority Student Union, BETA club, National Honor Society, French Honor Society, and Psychology club. She was also a member of the Timber Creek choir. Ursula is a graduate from the University of Central Florida, where she majored in Legal Studies and minored in Criminal Justice. She is a 5th grade CCD teacher at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and has volunteered for 7th grade Junior Achievement through UCF. Ursula is fluent in Spanish and English and has been with the Coye Law Firm since August 2008, working in the personal injury department. She is also the proud parent of her three-year-old son, Tristen Raphael.
Salim Punjani is a full-time third year law student at Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law. He received a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. During his time at Emory, he devoted his spare time mentoring inner-city youth at underfunded middle schools in the metro Atlanta area and volunteering in the clinical research sector of the Atlanta VA Hospital. In recognition of his efforts, he received the Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities Award and National Collegiate Minority Leadership Award. In the Barry community, Salim is an active member of the Environmental Law Society and Treasurer of the Animal Rights Law Society. His hard work and dedication was recently recognized when he received two Book Awards for earning the highest grade in his Workers Compensation and Business Organization classes. He has been with the Coye Law Firm since May 2008, working in the workers compensation department.
Lee Coye has worked in the workers' compensation department since February 2009 and for the firm for longer. He was born in Washington D.C. and has lived in many places, including New York, Texas, Michigan, Georgia, and now Florida. Before moving to Orlando, he served four years with the United States Marines. His service included three consecutive tours overseas: one in Afghanistan and two in Iraq. While in Iraq, he participated in the taking and stabilization of Baghdad, patrolled in the Anbar province, and established footholds in the mountainous regions in Afghanistan. Since coming back to Florida, he has been taking classes at Valencia Community College. He enjoys working on cars and computers in his free time.
